John Parrish

As Vice President of Disruptive Growth, JP leads the Gold Medal Ventures team on their mission to create the next growth engine for General Mills. 

JP joined the General Mills US Retail team in 2001, and has held leadership positions across our US Retail and Convenience & Foodservice businesses. Before joining Gold Medal Ventures, JP worked in our Blue Buffalo segment. As a member of "The Herd," he led the integration of the Tyson Pet Treats acquisition into General Mills and the channel expansion of Blue Buffalo into Food, Drug, and Mass.   

JP graduated from the WP Carey School of Business at Arizona State University, and prior to his work at General Mills, spent four years as a Program and MIS Manager at JP Morgan. He holds an MBA from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota. He has spent time volunteering in various youth-related organizations, including Big Brothers Big Sisters as Board Member. 

JP and his wife, Jamie, three kids and two dogs enjoy exploring the great outdoors, attending concerts and art fairs.
